Hotel Jardin Tecina **** - Playa Santiago The four star Hotel Jardin Tecina is uniquely situated on the top of the cliff above the fishing village of Playa Santiago. It is the only Hotel on the south coast of La Gomera. Facilities at the hotel include four freshwater pools (main heated in winter), including one for children, plus one seawater pool at Club Laurel, free towels, loungers and parasols at the freshwater pool, pool barbecue, table tennis, volleyball, pétanque, archery, five floodlit tennis courts (four Astroturf, one quick-tennis) and two squash courts, health and beauty centre: treatments, massage, sauna, spa facilities and gym, scuba diving centre (separately run), snooker, billiards, mini-golf, choice of bars, restaurants - buffets, barbecues, à la carte and international menus, souvenir shop, bazaar, newspaper kiosk, children's club, daily entertainment and disco at weekends, Internet access and a conference room for 150. Rooms are air-conditioned with two beds plus an additional camp bed and have a bathroom with a shower, telephone, satellite TV with English-speaking channels, pay movies, safe (rental), mini bar (charge) and balcony or terrace. Standard rooms have a garden view, comfort rooms have a side sea view and superior rooms have a direct sea view. |

El Paso Suites **** - Lomo Los Cardos A new hotel, which opened in 2003, is located in the south of the island at an altitude of 800m, it is nearby the village of Alajero surrounded by an impressive landscape. It is a peaceful and quiet place, where guests can relax and rest, and enjoy the fantastic views of the mountains and steep valleys that stretch all the way to the ocean 800m below. Around the hotel are beautiful gardens that contain a wide variety of typical canarian plants and flowers. El Paso Suites boast a variety of facilities including a conditioned swimming pool, an appetizer bar and a terrace to take the sun, equipped with parasols and tumbonas. There is also a massage service, a gymnasium and the renting of bicycles or mountain bicycles. There is also a golf course to 14 kilometres. Parador Conde de la Gomera **** - San Sebastian Set majestically on the heights above the capital San Sebastian overlooking the harbour, this hotel was completely renovated in the year 2003. It is built in traditional Spanish Colonial style with a central courtyard, which leads to the rest of the hotel. It is furnished throughout with Castilian and Isabelline style furniture and as befits the island of Columbus's last port of call, there are numerous nautical memorabilia. A wide variety of facilities are on offer including a large swimming pool, sun terraces, peaceful tropical gardens, solarium, bar, an elegant restaurant serving many local Canary Island dishes such as 'potaje de berros' (watercress broth), 'lomos de conejo rellenos' (stuffed rabbit loin) and 'cazuela de pescados gomeros' (fish casserole). Each room is air- conditioned and has ceiling fans, a mini bar, satellite TV, telephone, safety deposit box and a modern en suite bathroom with a hairdryer.
