HURGHADA & EL GOUNA INTRODUCTION

Introduction | Hotels | Diving | Late Offers<TravellingDiver.com

Hurghada

The bustling resort of Hurghada is one of the foremost resorts on the Red Sea. Whilst visiting this area you will notice the roots of this quaint fishing village with its old Egyptian shipyards, now fused with the spectacular, modern hotels that offer great facilities for families and active holiday makers. Hurghada offers a wide range of international cuisine and is famous for its excellent fish restaurants. With many of the hotels acting as self contained, beachside resorts, the local attractions include long beautiful coral reefs for diving and great windsurfing. Other activities include para-sailing, viewing the multi-coloured sea life from glass bottom boats and deep-sea fishing. If you fancy a change from beaches and water-sports, it is also possible to take a one or two day trip to Luxor, the mysterious land of the Pharaohs, and the world’s greatest open air museum.

El Gouna

Twenty - five minutes north of Hurghada, El Gouna is renowned as one of the most exclusive resorts on the Red Sea. Built on a group of islands in the middle of turquoise lagoons, the quite fantastical architecture is rivalled in diversity only by the variety of cuisine. Unique styles from Mediterranean to Asian, add flair to this welcoming vibrant area. Sport and entertainment facilities are endless including an 18-hole PGA rated golf course, wine-tasting, horse and camel stables, quad biking and jeep trips to the desert. Shuttles boats make it possible for you to travel along the network of lagoons. There are also taxis and regular buses if you wish to make trips into Hurghada.
