True Blue Bay Resort

Grenada is the most southerly of the Windward Islands with a year round temperature of 30 degrees c, fantastic beaches and a lush interior of tropical rainforest and cascading waterfalls. The True Blue Bay Resort is located on Grenada’s south coast, it’s 29 rooms all commanding excellent views of the sea. All cottages and apartments have air conditioning, kitchenettes and private balconies. The resort is situated around its own small marina, with a beautiful waterfront restaurant rated as one of the best on the island. Privately owned and operated by Russ and Magdalena, divers are made to feel very welcome by Eco Divers, based on site. Here you will also find the popular ‘Stuart’s Bar’ offering the coolest beer and arguably the best sunset view on the island.

Diving

Aquanauts Grenada

Now located at The True Blue Bay Resort and Marina since 2003 and being the only dive center on the island with a dive dock. Aquanauts Grenada was established in August of 1998, the first place of business was at the Moorings Secret Harbour Hotel under the business name of 1 st Spice Divers. After the Moorings sold the hotel, Aquanauts moved to Prickly Bay on the property of Rendezvous Beach and Dive Resort. Since the medical school acquiring the property was not interested in keeping a dive center on property a next move was necessary. Since 2003, Aquanauts is now located at True Blue Bay Resort & Marina.

The owners Gerlinde & Peter Seupe are Germans, working in the scuba industry since 1994 that used to run a dive center on Curacao before moving to Grenada . Both are multilingual master scuba diver trainers with back grounds in advertising and maintenance.

Dive Leaders are Bruce Harvey and Paul Ward, both very experienced dive guides and instructors. Several more local and foreign instructors / dive masters ensuring personalized service and have an abundant knowledge of Grenada's underwater world. The team is complimented by experienced boat drivers, deck hands, snorkel guides and store attendants. Together they strive to provide the best service for scuba diving and snorkeling guests.

Aquanauts Hardware:

3 large comfortable boats, all equipped with cabin, shade, sun deck, rinse tanks for

cameras and masks (separate), large platforms for giant stride entry, easy to climb

ladders, fresh water showers, marine heads, dry storage, O2 kit, MFA kit, VHF, cell

phone, life vests, depth sounder, GPS. 3 Bauer k15 compressors, Nitrox filling station,

150 scuba tanks, well maintained scuba gear sets for 30 guests at one time, digital photo

camera rental and processing, under water scooters, adapters for DIN regulators, on

order service kits for SCUBAPRO regulators and BCDs.

Aquanauts Services:   

Daily scheduled dive and snorkel trips, private boat charter, private dive guides and

instructors for hire, scuba classes from discover scuba to dive master, several specialty

courses like wreck diver and solo diver are offered. (Manuals might be available in

several languages).  Scuba equipment for rent, air fills, service of SCUBAPRO equipment

on request (not all kits are in stock), well fitted retail store offering dive shades, mask,

fins, sun lotion, shirts, hats, swim goggles, souvenirs and much more.

Eco Divers

There is diving to suit all levels on Grenada with a good variety of marine life. The diving in Grenada is some of the best in the Caribbean due to the extensive reef system which plays host to a stunning diversity of marine life. Eco Divers offer a PADI Gold Palm 5* IDC centre on site offering both learn to dive and speciality courses. 28 dive sites are within easy reach by boat including the magnificent Bianca C wreck, a 600 ft and 22,000 tonne cruise ship which sank in 1961. Starting at 28m, the wreck is in good condition, with hard and soft corals, attracting schools of jacks, barracuda and other pelagic species. Other dives include Shark Reef, Flamingo Bay, Isle de Ronde and Carriacou, a stunning neighbouring island.
